This small advance protects the order from last-minute cancellation and keeps things smooth for everyone involved.
Why Doesn't Future Tech World Offer Full COD on Higher-Value Items?
Every online retailer deals with the same challenge — a large share of full cash-on-delivery orders get refused at the doorstep. When a customer declines to accept a shipped package, the seller absorbs the return shipping cost, repackaging effort, and often product handling wear, on top of the added strain this puts on logistics and packaging waste overall.
We refer to these declined deliveries as RTO (Return to Origin) shipments internally. To keep this risk in check — especially on higher-ticket electronics — we introduced Partial COD. It gives genuinely interested buyers an easy, low-commitment way to order, while protecting us from repeated no-show deliveries that ultimately drive up costs for every customer.

Q: What if I pay the 20% advance but then refuse the delivery or don't pay the remaining 80%? A: The 20% advance amount is non-refundable in such cases and will be forfeited, without exception.
The Reality Behind This Decision
A meaningful portion of full-COD orders placed with online retailers in India end up cancelled right at the doorstep. Each such refused delivery costs the seller in courier return charges, handling, and other incidental losses — expenses that add up quickly across hundreds of orders and ultimately get passed on in the form of higher prices for everyone.
